Job Title: Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and testing process and product attributes to ensure food safety and quality. You will ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and test process and product attributes to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Document all testing and communicate results to plant management.
  • Assist with microbiological testing and documentation of finished product, water, swabs, ingredients, and other materials as needed.
  • Standardize and calibrate equipment prior to use and ensure reagents and other materials are available.
  • Perform analysis on products to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Enter all pertinent analytical results into the data collection system on a timely basis and inform supervision of any deviations.
  • Conduct work processes with the use of chemicals and evaluate the physical properties of ingredients and products.
  • Create and provide Certificate of Analysis (COA) to customers.
Requirements:
  • High School Degree, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or Equivalent.
  • Associates Degree in Science-related field preferred but not required.
  • 1-year relevant experience preferably in Production or Manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food or Beverage industry experience is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold and extreme heat.
