Trainee Protective Security Officer

Position Overview:
Upon successful completion of the training program, you will transition into a full-time role as a Protective Security Officer. These officers are responsible for safeguarding federal properties and personnel against theft, damage, hazards, or any form of interference. Regular patrols will be conducted to identify irregularities and to assess security devices and fire safety equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct periodic inspections to ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
- Maintain order and enforce regulations concerning personnel, visitors, and the premises.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Possess a valid social security card.
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Documented experience in one of the following areas:
    • At least 2 years of armed security experience.
    • At least 2 years of honorable service in any branch of the US Armed Forces.
    • Successful completion of a certified law enforcement training program that may lead to a law enforcement appointment.
    • A combination of education and experience: at least 60 college credit hours in a relevant field from an accredited institution along with 1 year of armed experience.
  • Fluency in English is required.
