Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Safety Officer to join our team at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, employees, visitors, and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency incidents within the assigned facility
  • Safeguard students, employees, visitors, patients, and property
  • Enforce security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and secure environment
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two years of experience in general security, military, or other public safety experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's license and adherence to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 required
  • Certified Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS) and Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to type approximately 30 words per minute and enter data on a computer keyboard preferred
  • Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton required
