Job Summary:
Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Nurse Residency Unit (NRU) team. As a key member of our Med-Surg Nurse Residency Program, you will play a vital role in onboarding new graduate nurses and providing them with a solid clinical foundation prior to transitioning to their assigned home unit.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to acute care patients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Function within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
- Maintain standards of practice, coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff, and provide quality nursing care.
- Collaborate with the leadership team and Nurse Residency Coordinator to ensure a safe learning environment for new graduate nurses.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a nursing program.
- New graduates of a nursing program eligible.
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BLS certification required.
- One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
