Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure coordinated patient care delivery that meets the hospital's standards and objectives.
- Supervise nursing staff during assigned shifts, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Implement unit policies and act as a resource for nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including The JOINT COMMISSION and CMS.
- Monitor and enforce Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and maintain accurate medical records.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within eight hours of patient admission.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of three years in a psychiatric healthcare setting.
Licensure:
Active nursing license from the Georgia Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and CPR certification; completion of CPI training within 90 days of employment.
Skills:
Strong clinical skills, effective bedside manner, leadership abilities, and proficiency in infection control practices.
