Survey Party Chief

At Synerfac, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for leading and managing survey crews to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.

• Lead and manage survey crews to collect data and conduct surveys in accordance with industry and client specifications
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS rovers, and data collectors
• Take detailed field notes and photographs to document survey data
• Provide mentorship and training to less experienced field staff
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to ensure survey data is accurately collected and interpreted
• Conduct mathematical calculations and data analysis to ensure accuracy and quality of survey data
• Assist with data input and management, research, and deed plotting in the office
• Travel to project sites and client offices as required

• Minimum 3-5 years of land survey experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a party chief (crew chief/survey lead)
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Self-motivated and proactive with excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of surveying instruments and equipment, their use and care
• Valid Driver's License
• Knowledgeable in effective practices, methods, and techniques of land surveying
• Strong math skills
• Ability to carry survey equipment and work outdoors in varying conditions
