Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Banquet Manager to join our team at Rosewood Sand Hill. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing banquets and events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with chefs and stewards to review scheduled group menus and equipment requirements
  • Ensure agreement of delivery times, amounts, and special arrangements
  • Prepare station assignments for banquet servers according to group requirements and hotel standards
  • Inspect table set-ups, check for cleanliness, neatness, and agreement with group requirements and departmental standards
  • Communicate additional meal requirements and special requests to the kitchen
  • Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before staff signing out
  • Complete all paperwork and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years experience in banquet operations in a four/five star hotel
  • High school diploma; diploma/degree in Hospitality/Culinary Management preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of Windows, Excel, Delphi, and Microsoft Office preferred

Language: Required to speak, read, and write English. Additional language is an asset.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
