Position Overview:

The Senior Maintenance Manager will oversee the daily and strategic operations of a complex manufacturing facility, ensuring that engineering and maintenance objectives align with the directives of the Plant Director and Business Unit. This role encompasses the management of all maintenance, repairs, and enhancements of equipment, buildings, and grounds, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards while optimizing costs and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of maintenance professionals, focusing on talent acquisition, development, mentoring, and performance evaluation. Foster a culture of safety, high performance, and ethical compliance.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for all team members regarding safety and health protocols in line with Amcor's Health and Safety standards.
  • Provide technical insights and solutions to enhance productivity and product quality across Blowmold and Injection Mold production.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Set priorities for the maintenance department to maximize resource utilization.
  • Identify and implement strategies to resolve issues, improve labor efficiency, upgrade facilities, and reduce operational costs.
  • Solicit bids for construction and installation projects, recommend contractors based on performance metrics, and oversee contract administration.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs while ensuring compliance with current facility layouts.
  • Guide the Maintenance Manager in skill assessment and personnel development to ensure technical competency within the team.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable safety, health, environmental, and building regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of essential facility systems including heating, air conditioning, electrical, and compressed air systems.
  • Uphold Food Safety standards within the plant and possess the authority to halt production for quality concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in analyzing business reports and correspondence.
  • Strong mathematical skills for problem-solving and data analysis.
  • Ability to interpret complex instructions and customer requirements.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
