About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. As a key member of our in-house counsel practice, you will play a critical role in defending our customers' interests in insurance-related disputes.

Responsibilities
  • Defend insurance-related cases in court, leveraging your trial experience and expertise to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Manage a caseload independently, from inception to resolution, and proactively move files through the litigation process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our policyholders, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement strategies for defending insurance-related claims.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in insurance law, applying this knowledge to inform your defense strategies.
Requirements
  • Active license to practice law in Texas and membership in good standing with the bar.
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong automation and technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
