Job SummaryWe are seeking a Critical Care Nurse with advanced cardiac life support skills to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients in the ICU.
The ideal candidate will be able to determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, communicate effectively with physicians, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Provide basic airway management utilizing oral and nasal airways, ambu bag, jaw thrust or head tilt/chin lift maneuvers, and suctioning.
- Function competently during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Care for patients with compromised nutritional/metabolic status.
- Manage fluid and electrolyte balance in critically ill patients.
- Assess and care for patients in the immediate post anesthesia period.
- Function independently using critical thinking skills to assess and intervene in critical situations until physician is on site.
- Assist with orientation of new employees to the ICU.
- Current unrestricted Wyoming Registered Nurse Licensure.
- BLS certification, required.
- PREFERRED: baccalaureate degree in nursing.
- ACLS certification within one year of position start date.
- ENPC or PALS certification within one year of start date.
- TNCC certification within one year of start date.
We offer a competitive salary range of $ $95,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience.
