Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the evaluation of vulnerabilities associated with various operating systems including Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 – 2022, Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Ubuntu, as well as network devices such as firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Generate comprehensive reports to monitor vulnerability metrics and assess risks to the network.
  • Analyze and track relevant Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) throughout the organization.
  • Support antivirus management, system updates, configuration oversight, and vulnerability assessments to fulfill security compliance standards, including ACAS and VRAM tracking.
  • Deliver consistent updates on system health to stakeholders and related teams regarding pertinent assets.
  • Experience in managing Information Assurance tasks related to ATO package preparation and submission, as well as Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation.
  • Conduct security assessments on standalone and PIT systems in line with organizational protocols.
  • Perform incident analysis and reporting using tools such as Splunk, WIDS, and HBSS, adhering to established operating procedures.
  • Regularly review enclave logs for potential security breaches or suspicious activities utilizing various logging tools.
  • Execute server and workstation installations and technology upgrades in accordance with Information Assurance requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience in Information Assurance.
  • 5-7 years of experience in problem-solving, project management, and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in vulnerability analysis tools, particularly Nessus/ACAS.
  • Understanding of RMF and ATO processes.
  • Experience in threat hunting and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with STIG reviews and mitigation strategies.
  • Current U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with the capability to obtain an SCI.

Certifications:

  • Possession of one or more certifications such as CISSP, CCISO, CISM, CISA, CISSO, CySA+, FITSP-A-NG, GCSA, GSEC, GSLC, GSNA, or ISSEP is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • Current U.S. Government TS/SCI Clearance.
