At Detroit Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Digital Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic imaging exams and working closely with our healthcare professionals.
Job Summary
This is a full-time opportunity for a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to work as part of our radiology team. You will be responsible for preparing patients for imaging exams, operating various types of medical equipment, and producing high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with patients and colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing patients for imaging exams, including verifying their identity and medical history
* Operating various types of medical equipment, such as mammography machines and computed tomography scanners
* Producing high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists, ensuring that they meet established standards for image quality
* Maintaining accurate records of patient information and imaging results
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in radiologic technology or a related field, and current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues with medical equipment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
