We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Entrepreneurial Scientist to join our team at Temprian Oncology Inc. in Evanston, IL.

Job Summary:

The Entrepreneurial Scientist will play a critical role in the development of our novel cancer drug formulation. This full-time position will be integral to the drug-development activities of Temprian Oncology, requiring the candidate to perform critical experiments to manage the drug-manufacturing process and its scalability, as well as solidifying its treatment potential through in vitro and in vivo experiments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and development of nanoparticle-based therapies for the treatment of advanced ocular melanoma.
• Manage the drug-manufacturing process and its scalability.
• Solidify the treatment potential of the drug through in vitro and in vivo experiments.
• Work closely with development partners at Northwestern University.
• Perform laboratory management, innovation management, laboratory safety, inventory management, supervision of potential intern(s), and ordering of materials, supplies, and equipment.

Requirements:

• MS degree in a relevant field, such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sciences.
• Experience in nanoparticle synthesis and analysis, sterile culture, and working with small animals.
• Expertise in spectroscopy, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, RP-HPLC, and/or MS, the measurement of NP size and charge, tumor-challenge and IVIS-monitoring experiments, (confocal) microscopy, FACS, and IncuCyte analyses.
