We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address maintenance-related issues
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance-related policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant as a Maintenance Mechanic
- Knowledge and experience working with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls
- Able to use both a MIG welder and ARC welder
- Able to order parts and maintain inventory of all maintenance-related material
- Ability to use a lathe and milling machine (considered an asset)
- Advanced working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and components
- Working knowledge and experience on automation, industrial process control systems, and PLCs
- Working knowledge and experience on facility maintenance and plant equipment
- Planning, scheduling, and assigning ability
- Computer savvy and hold practical knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Multitasked in a fast-paced environment with lots of changes in direction based on business requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other departments
