Intelligence Analyst

**Job Overview**

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) is seeking a highly skilled Intelligence Analyst to join their team at the Omaha Correctional Center. This role will be part of the Central Intelligence Unit and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Salary: $29.71 per hour

Job Description:

This position involves analyzing information from various sources, including phone calls, video surveillance, electronic messages, contraband cellphones, facility reports, and interviews. The successful candidate will create intelligence products to assist with daily operations and decision-making processes, helping to identify trends and threats. They will also monitor incarcerated individuals in different situations and activities, enforce facility rules and regulations, document behavior, status, and movement, and search for contraband.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A high school education or equivalent
• A valid driver's license
• Ability to legally possess a firearm and ammunition
• Minimum two years of corrections experience preferred
• Experience in gathering intelligence and conducting interviews in a prison setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
