Job Summary

The Saint Xavier University is seeking a qualified Exercise Science Instructor to provide instruction for both exercise science and sports and fitness administration students. As part of the College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Business, faculty members are expected to be dedicated to excellence in teaching, actively engaged in scholarship, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction for exercise science and sports and fitness administration students.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the program's goals and objectives.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in exercise science and sports administration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program assessments and evaluations.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a Health Science related field (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, etc.).
  • Teaching experience at the Higher Education level of 3 years or professional experience within the health and wellness field of 3 years.
  • Knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm toward serving a diverse student population.
  • Support for the Mission of Saint Xavier University and the Mercy Tradition's value of service to others.
