Housing Rehab Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Rehab Specialist to join our team at Brainerd Public Utilities. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Rehab and Maintenance Director, prepare board packets, and coordinate public relations efforts and events.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and coordinate board packets, agendas, and meeting minutes
- Conduct client interviews, process applications, and verify income for rehabilitation programs
- Assist in administering and maintaining the Housing Trust Fund and HRA rehabilitation loan programs
- Prepare and record closing documents, and respond to payoff, satisfactions, and subordination requests
- Monitor loan and program budgets and ensure expenditures are within budgeted amounts
- Track and process pay applications
- Associate's degree in a related field plus two years' experience or four years' experience with similar duties
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite of programs
- Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively
- Knowledge of administrative practices, policies, and procedures
- Ability to work with government officials, board members, department managers, clients, staff, and program participants
