Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our innovative team. The successful candidate will engage in the design and development of advanced aircraft systems and manufacturing techniques, working alongside various engineering disciplines and project groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation, testing, and verification of mechanical designs.
- Develop or modify 3-D models, schematics, and system specifications.
- Conduct structural and thermal evaluations.
- Support the formulation of system specifications and testing protocols.
- Collaborate with suppliers and integrated project teams.
- Provide assistance for manufacturing and testing operations.
- Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) tools effectively.
- Operate within a defined design framework and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs/Os).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Expertise in SolidWorks, HyperWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fundamental understanding of structures, materials, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with GD&T and the creation of detailed drawings.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Willingness to relocate as necessary.
- 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with prototype integration and validation.
- Knowledge of stress analysis, dynamics, and electronic systems.
- Familiarity with Risk Management and military standards.
- Proficiency in supplier management and procurement processes.
