Job Overview:

The Instrumentation & Controls Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our operational systems. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that are essential for maintaining high standards in our water utility services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of critical systems.
  • Develop and implement process monitoring and control systems utilizing specific instrumentation and communication devices.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, installation, and calibration of various instruments, such as ultrasonic level transmitters and flow meters.
  • Employ a diverse range of testing equipment, computers, and tools during testing and calibration processes.
  • Install, program, inspect, and fine-tune instrumentation and associated systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment, including pumps, motors, and the SCADA system.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in instrumentation and controls or a related field.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an associate degree in a relevant discipline or military training.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware HMIs is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license.
