Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry department at Wilson Medical Center. As a RN in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a diverse range of patients, including those with medical-surgical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including cardiac rhythms, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Current state RN license and a nursing degree from an accredited program.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- 1-2 years of Med/Surge experience preferred.
- Basic arrhythmia recognition preferred.
About Our Team
Our 22-bed PCU/Telemetry unit is a fast-paced environment with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5/6. We are staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Monitor Techs, providing care for patients with a mix of medical-surgical conditions. Our unit has 24/7 CNA coverage and 24/7 cardiac monitoring, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment.
