About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Foreman to join our team at Palmetto Yacht Management. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the daily work schedule to ensure all operating equipment is in satisfactory working condition.
  • Monitor work schedules, including extra work days and shifts as needed.
  • Oversee technicians and assist with tasks as required.
  • Work-order management and significant maintenance/refit projects.
  • Control downtime by informing the maintenance team of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with 5S, 6 Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Diesel engine repair experience (1 year minimum).
  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in fleet maintenance, familiarity with Fleetio is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, techniques used in truck and trailer repair and maintenance.
Professional Skills
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures involved in repairs and replacement.
  • Understanding of vehicle operations and safety guidelines.
  • Proficient in the use of all tools of the trade, shop equipment, and power tools.
