Salary

The base rate for this position is $15.85 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials, and overtime where applicable. Annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Job Description

This position involves loading hatcher dollies full of chicks into the de-stacker, while maintaining flock separation. While keeping flocks properly separated, load hatcher dollies into the stacker. Properly operate the tray stacker and separator. Using proper lifting techniques, stack trays of chicks weighing up to 30 lbs. onto conveyor. This position requires bending and reaching from 5 to 6 feet in height. Using proper lifting techniques, place individual trays onto separator conveyor at a rate of 11 trays per minute.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have strong reading and writing skills. You will be exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidities up to 100%. It is essential to use personal protective equipment as required and follow poultry welfare guidelines. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This role requires ability to lift 4 lbs. to a height of 6 feet, push 75 lbs. a distance of 75 feet, and lift 20-25 lbs. to a height of 3 feet. You must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty environment.
