Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Specialist to join our team at Rolling Hills Casino. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for managing inventory, installing and terminating low voltage data communication cables, and assisting in pulling electrical wires for new equipment installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory of computer-related cabling, termination jacks, and wall plates.
  • Install and terminate low voltage data communication cables, including coaxial, CAT6, speaker, serial, and fiber optic cables.
  • Assist staff electricians in pulling 110v and 220v AC wiring for various projects.
  • Diagnose wire problems using state-of-the-art wire testing equipment and recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems.
  • Work closely with the Information Technology and Facilities teams on projects and tasks.
  • Attend safety training classes and receive company qualifications to safely operate extension ladders, A-frame ladders, and powered man lifts.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and related experience working with and identifying various cable types.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission.
  • CNA preferred.
Work Environment

The work environment is characterized as an office setting, where computers and standard office equipment will be supplied and used. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts, wet, hot, cold, and/or humid weather conditions, fumes or tobacco smoke, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of radiation.
