Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing ultrasound examinations under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper patient identification and verification of orders
  • Prepare patients for exams and use proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality diagnostic exams
  • Demonstrate proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department
  • Complete and annotate medically acceptable exams, following ACR guidelines, while producing the maximum diagnostic information in a minimal amount of time
  • Follow appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur, and maintaining a current QC program for ACR
Requirements
  • ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry, including successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
  • Ultrasound experience preferred
Work Environment

This position is located at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. The hourly rate for this position is $57.80, and the work schedule is PRN with no guaranteed hours.
