Job Summary

This position provides personal financial services at assigned military installations. The primary responsibilities include delivering comprehensive financial counseling services to military service members and their families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of personal finance, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one counseling and consultation services to military service members and their families.
  • Develop and deliver financial education programs, including workshops and presentations.
  • Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
  • Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Over 1,000 hours of financial counseling experience.
  • One of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
  • Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • May consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience.
