Delta Physician Placement offers a competitive salary for this Emergency Medicine physician opportunity, with a low patient volume. Housing accommodations are also provided when the physician stays in town, and malpractice is covered by the hospital.
Responsibilities and Facility DetailsThis Emergency Medicine physician role involves working with a 12,000 patient-volume hospital, with 33 patients per day for the entire staff. The physician will work 12 x 12-hour shifts per month, with a 6 am – 6 pm and 6 pm – 6 am schedule. The hospital has 6 EM doctors, with Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner support, and no Cath Lab or on-call requirements. Tele-stroke services are available with remote Neurology support.
Qualifications and SkillsTo be eligible for this Emergency Medicine physician opportunity, candidates must have Emergency Medicine training or experience as a Family Medicine physician, with ABEM or Family Medicine Board Certification or working towards Board Certification. Visa candidates are not currently being considered, and the hospital uses the Cerner EMR system.
