Pediatric Diabetes Educator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Diabetes Educator to join our dynamic team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our ambulatory care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our pediatric patients with Type 1 diabetes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in the ambulatory setting.
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to staff.
  • Assume relief charge duties and ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with families to promote self-management, hope, and empowerment.
  • Document lab cultures and ensure follow-up on abnormal results.
Requirements:
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification.
  • 3 years of directly related experience.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish language skills preferred.
