Job Summary

This role involves performing non-certified, participant-focused, non-clinical home care supports as directed by the interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in supporting seniors and must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Participant Support: Provide 1:1 supervision of assigned participants, facilitating diversional activities and redirection when necessary.
  • Light Home Making: Conduct light home making duties, including dishes, sweeping, and general tidying.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare meals for participants when required.
  • Ride Along Support: Accompany participants on bus rides to their homes, PACE Center, or external visits.
  • Coverage in the Day Center: Provide coverage in the Day Center when requested.
Requirements
  • Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid MI driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience: One year of experience working with the frail elderly, long-term care population, or end-of-life care is preferred.
