Position Overview:
- This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with adaptable scheduling to accommodate the needs of our patients and their families.
- Typical working hours span from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support rehabilitation activities and programming for patients in a Pediatric Extended Care setting.
- Deliver personal care services, including assistance with oral hygiene, bathing, and dressing.
- Administer prescribed medications while closely monitoring patient responses.
- Observe and track patients' movements and daily activities.
- Ensure precision in medication administration practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a pediatric healthcare environment, particularly with patients who have complex medical needs.
- Current LPN license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Ability to successfully complete a Level II background screening.
- Physical capability to lift and transport a minimum of 50 lbs safely.
- Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Care for premature infants and post-discharge support.
- Management of chronic respiratory conditions.
- Experience with feeding protocols and insulin-dependent diabetes care.
- Familiarity with immune deficiencies, genetic disorders, and rare medical conditions.
- Background in providing care for patients post-surgery, both short-term and long-term.
