About the Role

At Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service excellence. As a Dialysis Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in the recovery process for critically ill and medically complex patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in need of renal replacement therapy, working closely with the dialysis team to ensure seamless care.
  • Document patient assessments, vital signs, treatment reviews, and observations in patient medical records, bringing any concerns to the attention of the physician and primary nurse.
  • Implement dialysis orders, analyzing patient assessments, laboratory results, and discussing issues with the nephrologist to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate emergencies, patient life-threatening complications, and related incidents to the supervisor, hospital staff, and the patient's physician.
  • Provide initiation and discontinuation of prescribed renal replacement therapy, verifying safety measures are in place and complied with, administering medications or other appropriate treatments, and documenting all activity appropriately.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice required.
  • Current CPR certification through American Heart Association.
  • Minimum 1 year dialysis experience in an acute care or chronic setting preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required.
