Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dentist to provide high-quality dental services to youth in our care. As a Part-Time Dentist, you will be responsible for performing all medically necessary dental services and procedures, including initial oral exams, treatment planning, and radiology. You will also oversee the priority list of dental treatment needs for the youth and provide dental services in a culturally informed manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all dental care services and procedures using a trauma-informed and culturally appropriate approach.
  • Provide initial oral exams on all youth when they arrive at intake.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to correct oral health problems for each youth.
  • Maintain accurate dental records for all youth committed to our facilities.
  • Assist others in the dental office with various processes and procedures.
  • Provide oversight and clinical supervision of the dental assistant.
  • Coordinate with community dental providers to ensure treatment/operative procedures are completed for youth.
Requirements
  • A current Dentist's license issued by the Oregon Board of Dentistry.
  • Experience working with diverse youth and those with mental health diagnoses.
  • Good patient care skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to provide dental services in a culturally appropriate and trauma-informed manner.
