Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at ProCare - Fairfield Emergency Room. As the first point of contact with patients, this role plays a critical function in ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information from patients, ensuring timely and efficient registration and scheduling processes.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure seamless coordination of care and services.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of face-to-face customer service experience required.
  • Certifications: Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider certification required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
