Job Overview

The CMM and Metrology Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring precision and quality in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and document component specifications and conditions.
  • Utilize metrology lab instruments, including mechanical and electronic measuring tools, calipers, micrometers, and computerized data systems.
  • Gather, analyze, and report measurement data as necessary.
  • Maintain organized records of measurement data and service requests.
  • Support the calibration management of equipment.
  • Assist in initial layouts and final quality checks.
  • Oversee the packaging and dispatch of components and equipment upon completion.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of tools and facilities.
  • Empowered to take action to prevent non-conformities related to products and processes.
  • Provide assistance as needed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with CMM operation and CMM Manager Manual Lite.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Familiarity with laboratory measuring instruments such as micrometers and height gauges.
  • Understanding of basic machining processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in CMM operations.
