Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team at Soliant. As an SLP, you will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working with children, and is committed to helping students reach their full communication potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' unique requirements.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, to help them overcome communication barriers.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure seamless support for students' communication goals.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, making adjustments to therapy as needed.
  • Offer guidance and support to teachers on implementing speech and language interventions in the classroom.
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student educational plans.
  • Provide valuable training and education to staff and parents on effective speech-language strategies and tools for use at school and home.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid OHSpeech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Preferred experience working in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations.
  • Strong understanding of child development and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work effectively with diverse student populations, teachers, and parents.
