Medical Support Professional

Job Summary
The Medical Support Professional at NorthShore Health Centers plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. This dynamic position involves working closely with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality treatment and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing various tasks, including weighing, measuring, taking blood pressure, and conducting urinalysis, while accurately documenting results in the patient's electronic health record (EHR).
- Screens patients to obtain critical information, such as chief complaints, medical histories, and allergies, which are then documented in the patient chart.
- Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and treatments by setting up examination rooms, preparing equipment, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Maintaining awareness of patient comfort and safety needs, while also completing laboratory requisitions accurately and expeditiously.
- Completing in-house laboratory testing requested by healthcare providers, adhering to CLIA standards and guidelines, and recording test results appropriately.
- Supporting the maintenance of stock, inventory, and requisitioning supplies as needed.
- Recording and maintaining accurate clinical information in the patient's EHR chart.
- Participating in mandatory training sessions and meetings to stay updated on the latest techniques and best practices.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive compensation package, estimated to be around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a salary, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development within our organization.
