About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. as a Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, in accordance with facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food in a safe and sanitary environment
  • Assist in receiving, storing, preparing, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures
  • Support Dietary Aide as necessary and direct other employees with approval
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
  • Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions
  • Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
  • Positively represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff
  • Provide positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in food preparation preferred
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required based on State/County law
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products
  • Must live in the service area
