Litigation Dockets Specialist

This is a unique opportunity for a qualified individual to expand their docketing skills in a variety of practice areas. The successful candidate will have an extensive legal background and possess a strong knowledge of court rules and civil procedure. The candidate must be an organized self-starter with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills who is eager to become a part of our dynamic team.

About the Role

The Litigation Dockets Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the firm's litigation docket calendar, analyzing litigation filings to determine deadlines using applicable jurisdictional rules in the firm's docketing software, and ensuring retention of source documents in the firm's Document Management System as necessary. The successful candidate will also be responsible for generating all routine and/or customized litigation docket reports, providing guidance to attorneys and legal staff on understanding the content of docketing reports, and attending and participating in Docketing Department team virtual meetings.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, a Bachelor's/Associate Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred, and two or more years previous docketing experience strongly preferred. The candidate must also have proficiency in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel, and a Document Management System (DMS), and familiarity with PACER and Electronic Court Filings (ECFs).
