Geriatric Behavioral Health Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Geriatric Behavioral Health Nurse to join our team at Baxter Regional Medical Center. As a Geriatric Behavioral Health Nurse, you will provide direct patient care to patients on the nursing unit, following individualized treatment plans to achieve the highest practicable level of mental and physical well-being.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit.
* Follow the individualized treatment plan in order to achieve the highest practicable level of mental and physical well-being for each patient.
* Continually monitors and maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu for the patient population.
* Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Requirements:
* Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State Practical License in good standing.
* Minimum of one (1) year experience is required. Psychiatric experience is preferred.
* BLS required. Safetu Care De-Escalation certification required in the first 3 months of employment.
* Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.
