The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing and processing payroll for all project employees on a bi-weekly basis. This includes entering payroll information into software, maintaining accurate payroll templates, and distributing paychecks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, data entry experience, and a general knowledge of windows-based computer operating systems. Additionally, they will be able to read, write, and speak English fluently and possess effective written and oral communication skills. The Payroll Clerk will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Division Manager to ensure all project staff hours are processed effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing daily and weekly reports for Operations Manager and General Manager, addressing employee concerns regarding hours worked, pay rates, taxes, garnishments, and paycheck discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy of payroll accounting in general ledger and monthly financial statements. The Payroll Clerk will also be responsible for updating and maintaining payroll-related employee file information and accurately and efficiently processing wage and salary increases. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess strong customer service skills.
