Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to contribute to our healthcare team at Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calibrate imaging equipment and maintain comprehensive records of calibration.
  • Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and work areas in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Uphold professional care standards to enhance service quality.
  • Manage patient information and maintain accurate test files/databases.
  • Prepare bone densitometry equipment for tests, including archiving pre and post-test data.
  • Conduct patient interviews to confirm medical history and assess requirements for imaging.
  • Accurately position patients for imaging procedures.
  • Input clinical data into computerized databases.
  • Utilize ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure during x-ray procedures.
  • Review and analyze completed scans for necessary information and adherence to protocols.
  • Document any positioning or analysis issues for physician review.
  • Assist physicians as required during procedures.
  • Maintain and report all medical history, coding, and claims filing using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Patient Interaction:
Greet and prepare patients for examinations, including:
  • Taking vital signs, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, and medical history.
  • Ensuring patient privacy, comfort, safety, and hygiene.
  • Assisting the Practice Physician during examinations and explaining medical procedures as needed.
  • Responsible for the sterilization and preparation of medical instruments, ensuring examination rooms are clean and ready for patients.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other clinical and administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors or physicians.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray Compliance.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
