  • Follow safety procedures for handling different types of pharmaceuticals.
  • Support cost control efforts through formulary knowledge.
  • Medication Preparation and Dispensing
  • Identify contraindications in prescribed medications and accurately dispense medications based on patient needs.
  • Ensure accurate medication profiles and prepare sterile and nonsterile compounded medications.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Automation
  • Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment and systems for efficient workflow.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance
  • Adhere to pharmacy policies, laws, and regulations related to medication handling.
  • General Work Expectations
  • Participate in quality assurance, communicate effectively, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Support pharmacy mission by providing quality services to patients.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • License: Pharmacy Technician License (California)
Additional Requirements:
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique and ability to handle sterile IV products.
  • Good communication skills and understanding of pharmaceutical information.
  • Working knowledge of drug forms, classes, and names.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification: Licensed with Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
