Travel Nurse RN Oncology Specialist

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Travel Nurse RN Oncology Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care and making a real difference in the lives of our patients.
About the JobThis is a 13-week contract position, working 36 hours per week, with a 12-hour shift schedule. As a Travel Nurse RN Oncology Specialist, you will be responsible for providing care to patients with various types of cancer, including chemotherapy administration, conscious sedation, and other procedures specific to oncology practices.
Responsibilities- Perform chemotherapy administration, conscious sedation, and other procedures specific to oncology practices.
- Access and maintain central lines/ports for blood drawing and medication.
- Initiate respiratory interventions according to standards.
- Coordinate and delegate patient care activities.
- Initiate CPR and coordinate in-patient admissions and ER referrals.
- Identify learning family/patient needs, including level of comprehension.
- Instruct patients on treatments, tests, preps, and OR procedures.
- Evaluate client outcomes through return demonstration and/or verbalization of understanding.
- Maintain a clean, quiet, organized patient care environment.
- Demonstrate a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, families, and significant others.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in oncology nursing.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
