Job Summary

The Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (AVP-EMSA) serves as the senior enrollment management and student affairs officer, responsible for leadership, management, supervision, strategic direction, policy development, and administrative oversight for various functions, including enrollment success center, records and registration, financial aid, mental health and wellness, accessibility services, student activities, student conduct, and athletics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic enrollment management plan that aligns with the college's mission and vision.
  • Define enrollment management objectives and ensure they align with the college's mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve divisional and college-wide goals.
  • Represent the President's Office in commencement planning and ensure a welcoming, accepting, and fair campus environment.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and procedures that promote student success.
  • Handle student issues related to complaints, student conduct, academic dishonesty, and club activities.
  • Serve as a TIX deputy and on the President's cabinet.
  • Chair the Enrollment Management Team and promote respect for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, policies, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in education, student personnel development, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of progressive leadership experience in college admissions, advising, financial aid, records and registration, disability support services, testing, athletics, student activities, student development, and student conduct.
  • Record of data-informed decision-making with a focus on best practices in enrollment management and leading-edge principles in student development theory.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic enrollment management and student success plans.
  • Strong personnel management skills, including strategic planning, the ability to manage multiple functions, and organize institution resources to meet goals and objectives.
  • Facilitation and conflict resolution expertise sufficient to lead student and employee groups in discussions and timely decision-making.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, statutes, and awareness of law and policy proposals affecting student affairs service areas.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in student enrollment-related technology, with experience with Ellucian-Banner preferred.
  • Experience conducting investigations regarding student complaints and successfully implementing enrollment management strategic initiatives.

  • An initial starting salary of $104,000 - $115,000, commensurate with education, training, and experience.
