Role Overview:

The Airport Operations and Guest Services Associate is tasked with both customer-facing and operational responsibilities, encompassing guest interactions and ramp activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist travelers with their needs, including responding to inquiries, managing baggage, ticketing, passenger check-in, and boarding procedures in a dynamic environment.
  • Work outdoors under various weather conditions while executing ramp duties, such as transporting baggage and cargo, loading and unloading luggage, marshaling aircraft, and performing de-icing tasks.
  • Conduct aircraft cleaning and security inspections.
  • Manage boarding and gate operations, including assisting and directing passengers, making announcements, and processing standby and upgrade requests.
  • Handle and secure passenger luggage, maintaining records for claims related to damage, delays, or loss.
  • Utilize conveyor systems for loading and unloading luggage and cargo.
  • As directed by management, undertake various tasks to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience, Education & Skills Required:

Essential:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to learn and utilize a computerized reservation system.
  • Typing proficiency of at least 25 words per minute.
  • Capacity to consistently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Physical capability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to participate in paid training that may involve overnight travel.
  • Depending on the location, ability to obtain necessary certifications.
  • Capability to secure airport security clearance.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • At least one year of experience in customer service or community engagement.

Airport Security Badge Requirements:

Non-crew employees working at airports or maintenance facilities must obtain and maintain a security badge as mandated by airport authorities.
