Stormwater Infrastructure Specialist

Overview: The City of Poway is recruiting for an experienced Urban Stormwater Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Public Works Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the City's stormwater and drainage systems, ensuring safe and efficient access for the public.

Responsibilities:

• Perform construction, modification, maintenance, and repair of City stormwater and drainage systems and facilities
• Use and operate manual and power tools and light to heavy power-driven equipment
• Inspection and maintenance of drainage structures to ensure efficient drainage
• Installation of street barricades and cones and control of traffic around work sites and special events
• Provision of information and demonstrations concerning how to perform certain work tasks to new employees

Requirements:

• Valid California class C driver's license with satisfactory driving record
• Ability to obtain and maintain a class A driver's license with appropriate endorsements within one year of completion of probation
• Possess and maintain valid Traffic Control Certificate
• Possess and maintain Fork Lift Certificate
• Possess and maintain a valid SCBA/Fitness Testing
• Possess and maintain Confined Space Certificate
• Possess and maintain Trench Shoring Certificate
• Possess and maintain valid CPR and First Aid certificates

Salary and Benefits: The estimated salary for this position is between $49,356 and $69,024 per annum, based on experience.
