Cybersecurity Architect Job Description

Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Architect to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing secure enterprise security systems that support our mission needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity architectures that meet organizational requirements.
  • Conduct security reviews and identify gaps in security architecture.
  • Develop and implement security risk management plans.
  • Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine their adequacy.
  • Develop and implement security controls for information systems and networks.
  • Manage and implement current security architectures for operating systems, networks, and related IT systems.
  • Engage in cybersecurity areas such as system architectures, firewalls, inspection and analysis tools, encryption components, and networking architectures.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and recognize vulnerabilities in security systems.
Requirements:
  • DOE L Clearance (DOE Q Clearance Preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, security protocols and authentication, network security, cloud security, and identity and access management.
  • Experience with IAM solutions, vulnerability management, incident response, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to cybersecurity and data protection.
Education and Experience:
  • PhD and limited experience or master's degree and 2 to 5 years of related experience or bachelor's degree and 5 to 10 years of related experience or associate's degree and 10 to 15 years of related experience.
  • PhD and 2 to 5 years of related experience or master's degree and 5 to 10 years of related experience or bachelor's degree and 10 to 15 years of related experience or associate's degree and 15 to 20 years of related experience.
  • PhD and 5 or more years of related experience or master's degree and 10 or more years of related experience or bachelor's degree and 15 or more years of related experience or associate's degree and 20 or more years of related experience.
