Job Title: Occupational Therapist

At Northern Inyo Healthcare District, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses that affect their daily lives.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing personalized plans of care, and providing occupational therapy treatments to help patients achieve their goals. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to help patients achieve their goals.
  • Provide occupational therapy treatments, including exercises, activities, and education, to help patients develop skills and independence.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure effective communication and care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Occupational Therapy license in the State of California.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 2 months of hire and ongoing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations and develop solutions.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Intranet.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software programs.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, working 32 to 40 hours per week. The Occupational Therapist will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide high-quality care.
