Sonic Automotive is seeking a Certified Emissions Specialist to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

The Emissions Specialist will carry out vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks as assigned, adhering to industry standards. This role involves inspecting and servicing our inventory of pre-owned vehicles (typically 4 years old or newer, most with under 50,000 miles).
  • Perform lube, filter changes, and fluid flushes
  • Conduct brake and tire repairs
  • Manage suspension work and alignments
  • Execute vehicle inspections
  • No heavy-line or body work involved
Candidate Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 months experience as an Automotive Mechanic or certification from an Auto Tech School
  • Possession of a valid Smog and repair license (mandatory)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and follow directions
  • Respectful attitude towards teammates and a positive mindset
