Job Overview:

Venteon is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage network infrastructure that supports our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking protocols, troubleshooting skills, and experience with network security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructures, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Perform network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop and execute network strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular network performance assessments and implement necessary upgrades to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Manage network security protocols and policies to protect sensitive data and prevent breaches, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Document network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to networking, applying knowledge to improve network infrastructure and security.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and implementation, ensuring business continuity in the event of an outage or disaster.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed, providing 24/7 coverage for critical network issues.

Qualifications:

  • CCNP certification (Cisco Certified Network Professional) is required for this role.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in network engineering or related roles, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in Cisco networking equipment and software, with experience in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network security practices and technologies (e.g., VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
