Emergency Department LPN Opportunity

Porter Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Emergency Department team in a full-time day shift position. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver fast, efficient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Emergency Department
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

About the Unit:
Our Emergency Department is a 30-bed unit that provides emergency services 24/7. We are an accredited Chest Pain Center and a Primary Stroke Center, and our nurses work closely with first responders and heart and vascular specialists to deliver fast, efficient care. Our continued commitment to keeping wait times to a minimum through our 30-Minutes-Or-Less initiative ensures that our patients receive timely and effective care.

Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Indiana
  • BLS certification must be maintained while in this position
  • ACLS certification within 12 months of being hired
